Just picked up a 930 Kulgera and I'm already in love. Great size for an EDC, buttery smooth, bank vault lockup, and absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I love the 2 tone G10 and the black chrome liners, clip and hardware.

The funny thing is for a long time I sort of ignored the various Osborne designs because the only one I ever handled was the 940 which I didn't like. In the last two months I've acquired a Rift, a Gaucho and now the Kulgera. I love all three of these but I still don't care for the ever popular 940.

This is just a gorgeous knife.

Anyone else feeling the Kulgera love?

Nice find. :) I wish it is more available in market.

I didn't like 940 in the beginning. When I understood that 940 is not utility blade I get the design theme made b Warren. It is dress knife, so that is why blade width is so narrow. It retained only edge part (compare this with 950 and you see where I am coming from.) Benchmade this obvious by offering 940 in S90V, wear resistant steel.

Another part is that unlike 943, 940 has thick spine all the way up to the tip. One can make any thrust cuts without a worry about breaking. It is dress EDC, yet strong enough to withstand harder use.

930 Kulgera... I can't find fault with anything Warren Osborne designs. Only thing I noticed when I owned one was how fragile the coating was on the clip, easily remedied by getting a black oxide split arrow to replace it. The scales are beautiful and the S30V blade is very nice. Good find!

I think a bunch of us questioned the exposed liners, which make this knife unique alright, but at the same time I could feel them with a tight grip. All the metal parts are coated with a BP finish, oddly enough rarely used by BKC. My skin's mildly acidic and the main issue was seeing the coating wear off far too quickly. Looks 1, longevity 0. I traded mine for something different.

I got my Kulgera 930SBK back in I think 2008 (I think same year I got the Rift 950) mainly due to its slim profile just like the 940 and the very nice Milled Black/Blue Layered G10 and the grayish protruded liners. It looks a little beat up but works just fine (those are rain drops).

I LOVE my kulgera, its definantly in my top 5 benchmades that I own. Great knife

I've been hoping to find one at a reasonable price for some time now. I love my 940, and I can't imagine not liking the 930.

I didn't like the way the liners poked out of the scales, If it weren't for that I would love it

This was my gripe with the knife as well. It it had full scales over the liners I would still own one.

Awesome! This is one of the few knives that I actually prefer the look of the black blade.

I have not had any problems with the exposed liners. There is plenty of G10 around the handle that provides a fine grip. I love the hardware and the finish on this knife. The axis lock studs match the thumb studs, and the pivot matches the receivers on the handle.

It is definitely underrated IMO. I love the slim profile and long blade. Mine is also extremely smooth and flips open like a dream.

PS. I'm also looking for a Gaucho. Looks like a sweet knife. If anyone has one they might trade please let me know.

I just bought a NIB Gaucho last month. It's a great knife. Good luck in your search.
