Since i've been into collecting traditionals, I've been drawn in part to those with modern materials and no steel liners. They are very light and slim, but have more than enough stiffness to still feel very solid and capable. These are the ones I've collected thus far (with the exception of the excellent Spyderco G10 UKPK's and Urbans, which don't belong here). Top to bottom: Manny Saldana's Sodbuster Mini, Todd Davison CF Swayback, Case CF Sodbuster Jr, JD Ellis Small Lanny's Clip, and Andrew Riley's Big Gun Jack. Each of these except the Case have been mill relieved around the pivot and are as tight and smooth as any other knife i own. The CF handles are especially stiff and light. They are especially nice to carry in lightweight pants and shorts, the green Mini is in my pajama pants pocket on this lazy sunday.

So who else is a fan of linerless knives? Let's see 'em!

Wow ! Nice, what is that big one ? How can I get one ?

That's Andrew Riley's (username 'Knife To A Gunfight' on here) Big Gun Jack, 5" closed with 1/8" 1095 blade.

All the knives you posted appear to have steel liners, wrong thread maybe?

Nice collection, Ben! My only linerless slipjoint is this Wiseman Front Pocket. Like you mentioned, this type of knife really disappears in the pocket.

Nice one, Dan. I'm going to have to get me a Wiseman one of these days, they are very unique. I like that he uses D2 also.

The orange one is 1095. Your mention of D2 made me realize that I totally forgot this two blader has no liners.:o

Thanks! It's 3 1/2" closed and about the same thickness as a single blade folder with liners.

Only one I have is Horn from Italy, a present from Scruffuk a couple of years back. Very light indeed and pleasant in the hand.

Love the Wiseman models. No longer have this, but the built quality was phenomenal for the price: Moki Fish Owl (small)

That's cool, I was wondering if there were any made with horn or bone, seems like a very durable material. Good looking too.

Very nice, Charles. That blue LSCF is really sharp. I've heard nothing but great things about Dunlap knives

I need a linerless Front Pocket from Gene, I love that pattern. I carry a regular version everyday, thin grinds with great edge geometry.
