I was going thru old threads but most have deleted their pictures.
I'd like to see your Vesipacks and what you have loaded in them.
Also, please let us know if your GSI Cup with a Nalgene or Guyot fit in the bottle holder pouch.
The most recent Jumbo Versipack I had, which had the new stabilizer waist strap, would not accept the GSI cup without a huge struggle. Did'nt matter if I tried it sideways or straight down, it wouldn't clear the top of the bottle pouch. The J-Versipacks I had a year or so ago accepted the cup no problem.
I'm hoping it was a isolated incident with the manufacturing process and not MaxP trying to trim costs by reducing size.

Nice set up. I asked Mistwalker to post pics of his Sitka for size reference. I'm in the market for a man bag that is urban friendly, easy on and off, low theft possible, water bottle compatible (or can attach my new carrier to it).

And Tal, are you still making the match cases? (sorry for any thread drift).

Steve

I think, if the water bottle holder is not that big of a deal and you are not really tall - get the Versipack Fatboy and you will not be sad.

I like the Fatboy Jumbo because it carries all I want.

Rocky,

I could be persuaded to make another - but they aint cheap because I have to hand tool them and then get them annodized.

My cup fit... it was snug, and took some effort. But that's a good thing to me. That way the cup didn't come out with the bottle every time I wanted a drink. It stayed in the holder and the bottle plopped right back into it when I was done, pushing it back down to the bottom.

ok so i am back and here they are. this is my edc/get home bag and i also carry it when i am out and about in the woods. its very heavy at all.

also missing cause they are in the dishwasher is my GSI cup and 40 oz kleen kanteen/ also tethered inside is a another micro bright white flash light to see contents. i would say with this set up and the 10-22 in the truck or being carried and 2k ammo i am pretty much good to go either in the woods or trying to make it home

i also forgot i have a nice trauma kit in it and a solid first aid kit just didn't want to get out all the contents of them as they are annoying to repack.

and here we go (ignore the little girl she thinks she has to be the center of attention even on camera :)

Guys, a quick question: not counting the bottle holder, how bigger is the Jumbo compared to the Fatboy in terms of storage capacity?

No pics yet of my Jumbo S-type setup, but I wanted to add that I also cannot fit my GSI cup into the bottle pocket. I was very disappointed to discover this fact...but the GSI cup stored inside the main pack works well to contain other pieces of kit...like a simple esbit stove made from a catfood-sized tin and a small screw top tin with firestarting items.

It should fit.... if not... then the pack is flawed.... send it back. Mine fits without getting hung up or anything.

 What strange alternate universe is this!?!

Rick has a tactical nylon man purse, with a stainless bottle, silnylon poncho and an electronic GPS?!?!?

And allthis time I thought you simply carried a wool blanket and a flint & steel firekit inside an emptied out squirrel carcass! :D
