It's gotta have stag or bone handles to hunt IMHO..

Hi,

I haven't carried a small game knife for years. Until this year. I don't really care for carrying a fixed blade, I prefer folders. I might be getting a bit senile and goofy in the head, but I started carrying a Case Gunboat in a small belt sheath this year. I really like having three different sizes and styles of blades, (spear, sheep's foot, and spey), on me.

It is just about needs and likes so no, you are not going senile or anything.

I don't have any pictures of it but I own a beatean up Solingen hunting knife I bought off ebay. It looked like it had been sharpened with a grinder... what a mess. I kind of restored it the best I could. I don't carry it often because the sheath is the crappiest ever. I need to make a new one.

I don't hunt any more due to health issues.
But I used to and most of the time I carried a Buck Pathfinder, one of the originals in 440C

My favorite grouse hunting knife.

I also carry something larger just in case. Today was my Busse Satin Jack Tac.
