there's a great thread going on big knives, and they are a blast but how about those little guys, pocket fixed blades, neck knives and such you use in the woods so often. if it takes less than a full hand on the handle i need to see it!!!!
mostly for fun, but also i need ideas, i want a pocket fixed blade with firesteel/flashlight to EDC...with thin scales for me, but everything goes here!

its 50/50

and dont get on me about them being to new,
the pics are old

I just ordered the neck knife blade at the far left from Mark Wohlwend. He's going to give it a full flat grind and convexed edge. The blade length is 2 1/4".

I also ordered another blank from Mark that's the same pattern as the one he made for hollowdweller a while back. I fell in love with the full-belly scandi and decided to bite the bullet. Everybody knows that hollowdweller has great taste in knives.

I'm going to put my own scales on it, but here's basically what it will look like:

Needless to say I'm excited to get these!:D

I have been digging small knives myself recently!!!

i have always loved the smaller knives. they get more regular use than anything else i've ever owned.
i've admired your knives a lot, you do beautiful work.
the top two are the designs of yours i would love to own some day (maybe not even that far down the road). but in a pocket carry compatible size if possible. what beauties!

Here's my EDC knife, its a modded Old Hickory butcher knife, with homegrown linen micarta. they make a great edc as they are 1095 steel and I can make one for next to nothing, so I'm not affraid to actually use them.

And another I like to carry in the woods when the mood strikes me right, also a modded Old Hickory, but with oak scales and .22 mag cases for the pins.

Here's a few micro sized Bark River knives. Mainly Micro Canadians but I threw in a Micro Tusk as well. I love to piggy back a micro on my woods knives.

My favorite smalle knife - Bow Legged Joe by Fiddleback

I used it to make chili when I first got it and suprisingly it wasn't that bad for that kind of chore. It's much better suited for around the house type stuff. i love this little guy!

have many great smaller knives. will share just a few of my favs. like em cuz they can easily be edc tools.
this one is made by an arizonia maker, chet deubel. don't actually use it much. its sorta my dressed up fer rendezvous necker. aol 5", cutting edge 2 1/4"

one of my favorite makers from wichita, kansas. troy courtney. older native guy who is no longer making knives. arthritis and other ailments have forced him to stop unfortunately. he made wonderful, useful knives. have numerous picked up here and there over the yrs. i like his handmade sheaths. most are horizontal carry like this one. under the belt strap(that snaps in the back) is hand written with an ink pen his name and address and phone number along with the number he engraved on the blade. aol 6", cutting edge 2 1/2"

recently picked up this little farmer in a trade on the exchange forum. nice functional. mostly gets used in the kitchen so far. aol 5 1/2" cutting edge 2 1/4"

probably my favorite knife at present. matt at ml knives makes great, beautiful and functional blades. though i pick up other customs here and there. if i have an idea or a hankering for a new knife, he is the maker i go to. this little nessmuk is the first knife i had him make for me. tho his sheaths are top notch too, gonna make a tad smaller, thinner sheath with no belt loop to edc in pocket. love this knife. aol 6 3/4" cutting edge 3"

heres another ml. not a fixed but really enjoy using this one. it rides in my front pocket most days. aol open 5 1/2" folded 3" cutting edge 2 1/4 "

and last but not least even tho its a production blade. the izula rides in my back pocket since the day i got it. being a production, dont mind abusing it a tad more than some of my customs. its a real workhorse of a knife even at its small size. aol 6 1/4" cutting edge2 1/2"
