I know that Peanuts are very popular with many members here, and I guess most of us have a reason to carry small now and again, if not all the time. I've often not hung onto the tiny knives I pick up on my travels because I've given them to friends for their kids, etc. However, while admiring the Keen Kutter Peanut I recently won in Markesharp's generous giveaway, and sorting through my knives to find suitable ones to post in Charlie's all-metal thread, I realised I still have a few. So, ladies and gentlemen, how about a look at your small knives, the same size as a Peanut or less?

Hi Jack, you do still have a good collection of wee ones there! Congratulations on the Keen Kutter too!

The two propeller shaped knives in your third pic down, in tortoise shell and bone (?) are very interesting. Do you know much about them?

Not sure if these qualify but they're the smallest I have: A Northfield #09 Esquire in snakewood and a C Johnson penknife in tortoise shell, which was a gift from a very generous friend.

Thank you Bearsquared, those are beautiful, I particularly like the C Johnson

Those two are unusual aren't they? A kind gift from another forum member here (Campbellclanman). They're Czech and from the 1920's. The wee spoon is an ear spoon!

Thank you, I'm very fond of it.

Ear spoons, as in for scooping wax out of lug holes!? Great idea, miles better than cotton buds :p

I'll show them to my mum's Czech friend who's visiting at the moment; I'm sure she'll love them :)

Ear spoons were very common at one time apparently, I imagine deafness was too! :D They sometimes mistakenly get called snuff spoons.

I'm just going to post this before Meako does (I gave you a few hours mate)! ;) :D

Good day Jack, here are some tiny pearlies and a tomato which is on the way.

Best regards

Robin

The 'Nut is the smallest I own so far.

Such cool tinys, Jack.
And Robin, I love the pearls!
Whatever other knives I have on me, I always have a tiny little one, too. They are often the best knife for jobs that require a scalpel sharp blade and fine control.

Here's a little Schrade 808 I've been working on

And of course, this old favorite

The Vic classic and Christy knife are my only tinies I have left. Had to give up my peanut to arthritis. But the classic and Christy still do an honest amount of cutting. I like tiny stuff that doesn't take up much pocket space.

I'm going to be lazy and post one pic and a link to more

Great collection Pete

Sorry to hear about your Peanut, I have a little RA myself and can see the way it's going. Hope you'll enter my Zuava giveaway, small knife, very easy to open
