I just received my UK Penknife. I feel that $35 for a Golden, CO made Spyderco is a steal. I'm loving mine!

In the snow:

I heard that they were being discontinued--is that true?

Here's a couple pics from the day I unboxed mine. Still suprised by how much I like it. The UKPK has usurped the Chaparral as my most carried, it's in my pocket as I type this :)

*edit* -Good color choice!

Most were discontinued.
There are rumors that the different colors will come back soon as FFG (like the current black FRN models). Eagerly waiting.

I've always wondered about the name. Penknife? Aren't they a tad large? And only one blade?

I don't really care about any particular knife's name. They're actually pretty small, and I never understood why someone would need more than 1 blade in a knife.

I hope that you are right, foofie, and that Spyderco does bring these back into production. I like it--just the right size for EDC, light weight, and the lock will never wear out!

Have to get another one. Got lost somehow. Excellent slipits for the price, also made in USA. Nice pics. Gary

I miss the G10 versions, personally - linerless G10 and S30V steel... The FRN versions are a great deal for the price, though - and extremely light weight. They fill a nice niche in the product line.

Just came in today. I am in love. Might as well not exist when I'm not using it, and the wire clip is phenomenal. Didn't get too much of a workout, just cut a few boxes, but I've got a good feeling about this one.

Thanks for the pictures, everyone! I feel the same way, Ace Krampus. It feels good in a pocket, and cuts quite well. I have two EDCs, a Sheepsfoot Mini-Griptillian and the UKPK.

Wow! Where'd you get a red handled one?

Its more orange to my eyeballs, really. Bought it used, covered with someone else's mung, but it cleaned up real nice. I forget, but I think maybe these orange ones were some kind of limited production or something. Not sure.
