I see a lot of pics of ESEE's still looking pristine. Mine are too, just got them and haven't put them through the paces yet.

These are knives that beg to be used though. So let's see some pics of your ESEE knives that have some good wear and tear on them.

here is the ESEE5 i had from the passaround, its pretty beat up ;)

Stripped, convex edge, natural patina, shaves hair, just getting broken in. I love this knife.

took my lite machete to grandma's house to clear out a few nuisance trees, and take a few good sized limbs out of her huge bois d' arc to let some light in. 4-5" limbs of such a hard wood bent up the edge a little, but it hammered back straight.

That black "5" by the keyboard looks like it has been used to cut rebar on a regular basis!:D

No pics of my beat-up knives, but I can say that I gave one of them (my ESEE-3) some love today when I used it to chop some small branches off a tree in my front yard. Needless to say it performed very well.

I remember these from the board.

I love the ESEE-5. It's like a pretty woman

I have to ask. What in the sam hell did you use this knife for? It looks like you tried to sharpen it from spine to edge on a curb. lol

that's not his knife, its another forumite whom I believe is a firefighter and went on a drill to cut thru IIRC 60 seat-belts, slammed it thru hoods of cars, open trunks, break windows, you name it..

TheLastDaze is correct.
Here is the thread those images are from (though the pics disappeared  )
RC-5 vs Windshields (after shots only)

While this isn't as worn as a lot of other knives posted I have ONLY had my Izzy since Friday evening.

Dylside

He's a firefighter or an EMT and he practiced breaking out car windows. There is another post here about it.
