LETS SEEN YOUR PICKAROONS!

I tend to use a rock hammer for that or not he small spike adze I made from a hammer head
One of these days I'll get around to making a full size version.

i've got a couple versions, an old snow and nealy, as well as the more modern logrite (which stihl resells...). they are pretty handy...

also use two different kinds of log levers - peavey proper and cant hooks (different!)

also also the cool swedish style tongs - like ice tongs but really good for log carrying...

also also also shorter hooks that resemble hay hooks

many logs, many tools

Cant Hooks and anti-PC! They should be called CAN DO Hooks! Also they are the most of hated logging tools.

Pickeroons how ever are the best of logging tools! Made my life easier when help putting my brother through harvard one summer through logging slavery.

My old man and beastly older brother would yell. "USE THE CANT HOOK!" by my self of course. They were just being plain old mean. I ignored them and used the pickeroon because it was easier. Making the 8' by 4' piles for the skidder was easier with it. After my brother nicked himself with a chain say, I was doing all the extra work for the 150 cords of norway pines. That was one sucky summer, when grand ma found out I was being run ragged, dehydraed I found out the old man was still scared of her giving him heck. A few other mishappen stances they backed down. One good thing was I was in super shape for football season.
