If you don't have a picture knife, let's see your Buck knife doing the deed.
If your family is anything like mine, someone is always taking a picture of the spread before we dig in...
Here are a few of mine to get started.

A little hard to see, but there are turkeys on the middle one. I'd like to take a better pic, but I'm working 12 today. Ugliest damn turkey I've ever seen.

I stole this picture from the web....
National Wild Turkey Federation 40th. Anniversary Vanguard.
It's part of their 2013 Banquet auction package.

Wild turkey giving me the run around. Just a short hop from the Post Falls, Idaho Buck Knives factory (Turnbull Reserve) last summer.

The seller said he thought there were about 2800 of them made . Happy Thanksgiving to all .

Lucky you. I have a subcollection of Vanguards and it's on my want list. The ones I've seen so far have been overpriced. If they really made 2800 of them the prices will be down this coming year as more of them hit the auction sites.

The number of 2800 is just hearsay from the seller I did do a google search but did not find much information about this knife I was told from the seller that each chapter got 8-10 knives each and they were actioned at the 40th anniversary events for the NWTF .

I can only speak for myself but I want to know more about this knife and I'm sure there are others to , I you have information on this one please post it .

If you go to the NWTF website you will find the knife in their 2013 Banquet auction catalog. I couldn't find that they are sold separately other than to buy it a a banquet auction. Like Ducks Unlimited knives and girl scout cookies, it is a fundraising item. For example, people bid $200 for a knife the organization paid $100 for. The markup being in the nature of a donation to the organization putting on the fundraiser. It's still a $100 knife.

The seller I copied the picture from started a number of weeks ago for an astounding $1200. He's down to a slightly more realistic hundred something now but last I checked it's still unsold. I expect we'll find out how many were actually made when the 2013 SP lists are published. 2800 is a huge number but in comparison, many of the Ducks Unlimited knives were also made in the thousands.

looking good David. Those huge frozen Turkeys from the grocery store are a waste of money. A young wild turkey is the way to go.
