I just got my first Buck 110 the other day. It's a custom PCKS 110 with BG42 and red pickbone scales. Man, I'm hooked. These FHs really feel good and make good work knives (I broke mine in installing a wood laminate floor and some yardwork). My only complaint is that it's a bit big for EDC unless you use a sheath. If I could get a PCKS 112 (the smaller version), I'd order one immediately.

Soooo, what is your favorite FH? The Bokers look nice and the size seems good. What other good ones are out there?

Chris

I have one of the Buck 110's in BG-42 as well, though with green laminated wood scales. I think they called it Frenchwood or something similar.

I also like the traditional "coke bottle" style hunters. I have a locking version from Schatt & Morgan with green winterbottom bone scales that's quite nice.

Ain't no doubt about it. The Buck 110 gets my vote.
I have two from Pete's and one standard.

I dont think the 110 from Pete's is just the best folding hunter. I think it's the best knife, period.

Don't think you'll find a small folding hunter much under 5"
That is the normal size for the folding hunter pattern. Also
most folding hunters are two blade slipjoints.

I prefer the ol' two blades and collect them ,but I've got
a few 110 & 112's too. My favorite lockback folding
hunter is the 112 for fit & feel eventho it too needs a
belt sheath.

The rarest folding hunter I own is a two blade lockback
Boker made very few of. I can see why to. It's hard to operate
the locks.

I have owned a Buck 110 for well over 30 years now.

My current favorite is the Case/Tony Bose Yukon model CS-1308. A real beauty.

Mtnbkr, If you would like an EDC about
3&3/4", check out the Europeon Copperheads
by Bulldog, Kissing Crane, Henckles &
Boker.
They are very close to the pattern of
the old 2 blade hunters, in a more easily
carried size.

Yes the case copperheads are great,
but they are wider on the head end
and tend to have a pen secondary
blade. The Europeon ones have that
clasp knife look of the old hunters.

How about a saddlehorn trapper pattern in BG-42 and stag from
Dan Burke.
