Let's Talk About The Collector's Group !!!

As many of you know, we have been formulating some ideas about the collector's group and I would really appreciate your feedback on some of these ideas.

I was at first against any kind of a membership fee but then realized that it is important to "put a little skin in the game" so here's what we have as of now.

An annual membership fee would be required of let's say $100.00. In return for this, you would receive $150.00 of the purchase of your next three Busse knives in $50.00 increments. Members would also get first chance at all limited editions, short runs, military pieces, serial numbered knives, one-of-a-kind customs, and of course. . . . The Busse Folder!!!! Toss in a Busse Combat hat, and a bunch of contests for free knives that are only available to the collector's group, and that's about what we have so far.

What do you think?

I like the idea. Can't wait to see the dog fight for the first member status. Hey, sisnce I posted first, can I have it. Will pay the dues tonight.
 
I think as long as it gets paid back in knives a membership fee is a great idea. If it gets paid back 1.5x in knives all the better.

Contests and first buy opportunities are also great ideas. Maybe down the road a little, once the membership is big enough to justify it, an exclusive knife would be nice.

Or a Busse Combat Visa with a Battle Mistress graphic across the front. INFI Hog Since....

Those ideas sound good so far. $100/year is so little for some much that would be gained.

For the first chance at limited editions, I think a new system would have to be worked out to replace these "mad rushes" that we're using now. Time just isn't on the side of everyone, and will probably be the case with some of the Collector's Group members. It's fine for general public first come first serve things, but that $100 throws another spin on the subject.


Obviously the clothing is always desired.....we're still waiting for ANYTHING with camo dude on it ;) :D

Good point. There will NOT be any membership numbers at this time.

I'm big on having a level playing field and I think everybody (or those with the fastest mouse ;) ) should have an equal chance of scoring.

I'd like to see those who join in 5 years have just as good of a chance at scoring serial #1 as those who have been here since the beginning.

It also adds a certain level of "competition" to the mix. . . and I think we can all agree that you guys love to race your mice!!!! ;)

So Jerry, are you thinking of a seperate email list for club members to notify us of these goodies and special club offers?

Would the members get first crack at the more
collectable stuff? If yes then I'm in.

that sucks DN! I've received all the rat and busse email offers. And I like that system.
What about if the Busse sends out an email saying there are a limited number of a special knife and then fill the orders on a first emailed reply first served basis. That way the those of us with cable or DSL don't have such an advantage ( plus we could avoid the dreaded "server too busy" errors) when the MAD INFI rush is on.
 
Sounds like a great idea. I would love to join the Busse collectors club and say F-words all day too.
