Hey all, I want to hear from all you dragonfly owners! I just ordered my first spyderco a few days ago and it should be arriving tomorrow. I live in Costa Rica, so I didn't have the chance to see things in person. I chose the dragonfly based on a lot of opinions here and on youtube. I got the h1 salt version as ill be using it for both edc and fishing. Man, I didn't know I could get this excited about a $50 knife! Hehehe. I swear, I'm like a kid at Christmas time!!

Ok, so let me hear from any dragonfly fans out there. Are you happy with it? Do you find it large enough for an edc blade? Any shortcomings? Any thoughts on the H1 steel?? I think I just want to hear you tell me how great the knife is and how much I'm gonna love it!! Hahaha. Thanks in advance for the help, I'm running out of diversions! I think I have already watched every video review on youtube!

Where do you live in Costa Rica, I got married in the Osa Peninsula last year. Love the Dragonfly. I'm trying to get anyone to trade me straight up for an Endura 4. I think it's a great size blade and handle for my light duty uses.

What's up cchu? I live right around playa Jaco on the central pacific coast. Been here since 1998. I've spent plenty of time surfing down in the osa! Beautiful country down there...still pretty wild!

pretty sure I'm going to try and trade some of my unused knives for a Dfly2 in the next week or two. Looks just what I need for my job change.

I have the zdp dragonfly and love it fells great. For such a little knife its very ergonomic no complaints at all for mine. As for the H1 steel my co worker has it on his dragonfly and it seems to hold up pretty well he gives it to me to sharpen and it touches up very easy on my sharpmaker

Pura vida!!! Surfinggringo!

I carry a ZDP Dragonfly along on the 5th pocket when I carry a bigger folder/4inches like a BM710.

At home, It's the first blade I go to for mundane tasks like opening packages and letters. It usually remains open on my desk, ready for action. Very useful.

It's small but very capable, it's like having a pocket zipper! You'll love it.

Used to have the Vg10 FFG, which is too thick for light tasks.
The H1 with hollow grind should be prefect, plan to get one soon too.

Love mine! Fits great in the hand, feels great too, easy to sharpen, gets razor sharp,

Great little knife. I have the H1 model I clip into some shorts when jogging and the razor-sharp ZDP version for a lot of other uses. I think they are one of the best smaller knives out there. The choil and the handle size make it feel (to me) like a much bigger blade.

I have the ZDP version and love it. Even though I have large hands, its design is such that it fits better than some significantly bigger knives. In H1 I only have the Pacific Salt and it works great so I plan to add a Dragonfly 2 in H1 to the collection at some point.

Great choice on a knife!
probably one of my most used blades, since I use it at work! And it holds up so good! Been through so much and it still keeps on impressing me! Just love it, and a work day without it is a bad day.
I have the VG-10 Version, and it is quite decent! Is it just mer or does VG-10 hold an edge better after being used and resharpened a lot?

Hey ozgooner, how do you feel the h1 steel stacks up as far as edge retention and ease of sharpening?

I have the h1 plain blade version and I carry it often, you will not be disappointed in it. The h1 takes and holds a decent edge with very little fuss. Congratulations on your new Spydie.
