Let's talk Karambits

Has anyone heard about the status of the HS karambit? I know that everyone is still drooling over their Sng. I know Mick and the guys have been busting their asses to get the SnGs out the door, but rumor has it that the karambits are ready and should be shipping this week. Today maybe?

Mick is that true? I am really excited about the karambits. Steve has got a great design here and with Mick making it, this thing is gonna kick some serious ass.

Looking forward to doing some spinning.

You should try to contact Matt D. I got mine
from him 2-3 weeks ago. It is an awesome knife.
A trainer might be something nice to pick up if
you haven't used one before.

Yeah, I have had a trainer for a while now, and I have pretty much beat the hell out of it.

I saw that Matt D. had a HS in the for sale forum, but I had pre-ordered one with Steve's company and I hate to go back on it.

Guys, if you do get a karambit please get a trainer as well. I have been reading on another forum how many people are cutting themselves pretty nice with their new folding karambits.:eek:

From all appearances, Tarani and Strider did an awesome job with this one... best looking karambit I've seen. A folder like Emersons that is a cross between HS and an AR would be killer. Sharp only on one side so as to be legal when visiting California.

I picked one up from Bladeart about a month ago. Damn wicked blade. A trainer is highly reccomended cuz' this thing aint very forgiving....

I picked up a Karambit from Strider at the show in MD. It is a great little piece. I have carried it everyday since. I recomend the trainer as well.
 
I am also waiting to receive mine. I have one ordered with TAD and one with Sandra Wylie. Not only is having the trainers a good idea, you should also get the Karambit Video and Book.

If I'm not mistaken, it's a Strider FLAK. Someone's been unloading them on Ebay lately (er... really not me :) I'm not self-promoting). The Ebay description said that something like 30 or 50 were made. Joel Pirela was somehow involved with that knife, at least he gave it the name, I think. Anyone else with more information?

Very sexy looking knife, btw. Love that top curve, it makes me want to fondle it.
 
That is the Pirela-Strider FLAK (Fast Light Active Knife). It was a collaboration between Joel(design) and Strider (production). I picked this one up from Bladeart also. I believe there were only 30-50 produced. Cool knife, came with a crazy sharp edge.
 
For you guys who have the HS already, do you use it or is it a safe queen?

How does it spin?

Do you like the heft and balance?

I am just wanting to know your opinion of this blade.

I carry mine some. It conceals well, feels great in the hand. Beautifully crafted with nice grinds and sharp as hell. I still don't have the balls to do much spinning with it 'cuz my wife don't like me bleeding on the carpet :p
