Ok. Someone please explain to me the benefits of an "early lockup". What is considered early? Also what are the downsides to a late lockup? What is considered "late"?

I'm aware an early lock up is preferred. The reason I ask is because I just got my 0561 in the mail a few minutes ago and I noticed the lockup is what I would consider 55-60% out of the box. I was expecting it to come in the 30-40% range. Is this something I should be concerned about? Thanks for all input.
 
Try doing some searches for lockup its been covered many many times before.
Its normal and probably will never move.
 
There is early lock-up, late, and on time. This is yet another very minor aspect that people obsess over. Don't sweat it.
