After much research and taking into consideration:
Carrier network ( I wanted verizon)
Ability to handle media files
Speed and usefulness of the GUI
Screen size
Battery life
Web experience
Google Maps / Navigation Integration

I ended up getting the Motorola Driod X.

I have never been so impressed with a device(toy)

I LOVE my driod X. I almost drank the cool aid and went for a Iphone4. But after seeing one..... No thanks.

What do you guys think and what phones do you use and love?

I'm not sure what my next phone will be. I currently have an iphone 3G which pretty much does everything I need. A guy at work recently bought an Android powered HTC Dream and that's pretty impressive. I suspect my next one will be an Android device.

iPhone 4...people say whatever about iphones, and this and that, but i love it:)

I wouldn't mind getting a droid device on the verizon network. Right now i have a pixi plus on verizon and its a decent phone for the price (free upgrade). Got the touchstone and back, put preware on it and downloaded a ton of patches and a custom kernel. love it.

Forget the iPhone. Only reason I have the iPhone is because I can't get windows mobile phones over here (I can, but they are either in German, or I get to pay bookoo bucks for an unlocked one).

The OS on the iPhone does not impress me. The blackberry/iPhone OS impresses me about as much as that of a Moto RAZR.

My previous three phones were the HTC PPC 6700,6800,6900, so maybe I have some windows bias?

I have a enV for my "phone" and an iPod Touch for everything else. I very much dislike the monthly cost for a iPhone, but I like the OS and the apps available.

Now if they just increased the RAM to 1GB, the processor to a nice 1.33Ghrz chip, and tossed in some disk space I'd be very happy.

I just got the Blackberry Storm 2 a couple of weeks ago. So far the jury is still out. I really miss the full qwerty keyboard from my BB Curve and I don't particularly care for the touch screen. But the full media capabilities are nice. The web browser is beautiful. It has a decent camera and video recorder. I'm trying to push it pretty hard during my 30 day trial before I make up my mind to keep it.

We don't have Verizon service where I live or I would have gone with one of their Android phones. I really considered getting the iPhone, but AT&T's prices are quite high considering the competitors. And the new limit on the data service was the final deal breaker for me.
