If I get no response to this one then I'll stick to scenic pic threads and Wild edibles....obviously the traps aren't popular !

I will start off with some Wild edible content though......Maisy munching away on Salal Berries, I'm sure she is part Bear !!!

Also found some good tinder today, check out this old wasps nest~

Maisy stopping for a quick rest ~

Snicker challenging a squirrel to come down and fight like a man !

And finally onto the trap. As far as I know the name of this is the Wishbone trap due to the shape of the bait stick. In reality any stick will work providing it has at least one side prong to attach bait to.
I love this trap because it is so simple and quick to make. You don't even need a knife or knowledge of any fancy knots, this is as simple as it gets and yet within a few minutes you can have a crazy sesitive trigger !

Maybe my trap posts are not very popular because my filming sucks so bad, LOL ! I always forget to take my Gorilla pod so end up trying to film and trigger the trap at the same time !!!!

Could not quite see the trigger design in the video. Maybe a schematic/diagrammatic is in order. I love the trap threads. Love the dogs too.

Word... I like the trap threads too

I just don't have anything to add usually, I'm a reader :)

I like the trap threads also, even if i never use one, new knowledge is always fun. wild edibles is another favorite
Pitdog keep up the good work alot of us look foward to your posts.:D

Pitdog, great pics, I really liked the pic and the comment with Snicker and wanting the squirle to come down and fight lol.

I have said it before you have a awesome place to hike in.

The traps are cool too, man.

Bryan

Great pics, bro. I also love the trap threads, I just don't really have much to add to them. I can only learn from them, as I have yet to use any for anything.

Thanks guys, I should have taken some pics of the trigger mechanism but I only made this trap at the last minute. I had set out to make Dave Canterbury's figure 7 trap but I wasn't very happy with it, I found it quite hard to trigger today so set up the Wishbone trap instead.

Pitdog, I don't know where you get all of these different traps. But please keep it up.

Oh yea, I like the dogs too.Looks like they had fun with this one.

Jeff

Oh yea, My whole state in under a burn ban,so If someone could work in a fire making thread that

would be cool also.

Cheers buddy. 12 Hr night shifts are when I find all the traps....the magic of Youtube !!!

Yeah we have a fire ban on.......kills me not practicing but it's something like a fine of up to $1000 0000 if ya caught so there is no way I'd risk it !!!!

This one uses the same principle and explains it far better than I could~
