Well, last weekend the campout was cancelled do to the chance of bad weather and some other stuff. So since this coming weekend will be nice we are planning on going. I'm starting preperations now so it will actually happen.

We will be camping up at Nunn's park up Provo canyon. It's $10 per campsite and we plan on getting one or two depending on how many people will be coming. I'll probably make Cobbler in my dutch Oven and have smore stuff there. We will all share in the cost splitting everything equally between people. This is an Invite to all of my friends here at the Cantina. :)

I'm bringing my hawk and a Khukuri or two for wood cutting and splitting. There should be a few girls coming too. Should be about 60 degrees durring the day. The area has some nice paved hiking trails and access to part of the Great Western Trail. Check out the link I posted above for some pictures of the site.

There is also Lincoln Beach Park which is on the south side of Utah lake. The shooting range we used this weekend is only 5 minutes from there. So that site is also a posibility. I've still got tons of .22 ammo so depending on who comes we could do either one, but most likely Nunns Park.

If there is anyone that wants to come you are welcome to. If no one wants to or can't come, don't worry.... I'll post pictures to taunt you all with. ;)

I just got off the phone with the Utah County Parks Secritary and she said that Nunn's park hasn't been opened yet do to the increased about of snow this spring. They are trying to get things going soon, but she wasn't sure if it would be this weekend or next.

So we might me heading to Lincoln Beach or Possibly Willow Park by Lehi.

I wish I was going with you Herber. Things have just warmed up here in the Big Horns... 78 today :). But it is supposed to drop down into the 40s and snow again next week :P

Have fun!

man, I would love to go...if only for Heber's famous dutch oven cooking;)

Sounds like a blast.:D:thumbup:

I live in the wrong country. Plus I have a Dune convention to go to. :)

Dune is good. Though couldn't you just relocate the convention down here in Central Utah?

Alan, get your self out of town this week. 78 degrees is perfect for camping. :)

Jake, you need to get over here to try to Cobbler, Stews and mountains. We have got some great canyons for Biking, climbing and camping. Of course we won't be there because it recently got snow... I'm hoping for Lincoln Beach Park cause the shooting range is 5 minutes away.

Oh yeah, there's a chance that we will be camping out tonight too. :)

Too late... that was yesterday. It'll be in the low 60s to 40s (highs) for the weekend (and 30s - 20s Lows). That is for in town... much colder up on the mountain... :(

It is Wyoming afterall... we'll get to road construction (one of Wyoming's four seasons according to Jeff Foxworthy... there's almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction) one of these days. Although, there is road construction south of town on I-90... maybe it is camping time afterall?

Thanks guys, camping didn't happen again! Turns out when my friends were talking about camping it was not this weekend it was a week from now or later. :foot: So I made Pear cobbler and had some girls over to eat it with me. Then went to bed reading The Fellowship of the Ring. There is a chance that we will go this coming weekend but since it's Graduation and cleaning checks most people will say yes now and no then. So I'm going to shoot for the 2nd and 3rd of May.

After I start my new job and get a car, I might just go camping at some of the county parks by my self. :(
