Below is a letter from KA-BAR President John Stitt.

It is with regret and excitement that I announce that Paul Tsujimoto is leaving the KA-BAR family. Paul has a great opportunity in a bigger position to share his knowledge and expertise. Paul came to work at Cutco Corp. in June 1997 and at KA-BAR in January 2007. Please join me in congratulating Paul for his past efforts and well wishes for his future endeavors. Good luck buddy… You will be missed.

John F. Stitt
President, CMO
KA-BAR Knives, Inc.

Toooj, you will be missed. It has been an honor and a privilege working with you.

Paul will be greatly missed. He's one of the driving factors of why I recommend Ka-Bar / Becker knives to friends and family. I wish him well in his future endeavors.

Wow, this is really big news.

From the outside looking in, its been a beautiful relationship between Tooj and KA-BAR. He was a great face for the company in how he worked with the community, he was involved in collaborations with designers that yielded amazing tools, and he was a damn fine designer of his own KA-BAR knives too.

I'm sad because we'll never get a KA-BAR made "Tooj Tweener" based on any of the knives he designed for the Heavy Tools line. But I'm excited because now in addition to continuing to enjoy buying KA-BARs, I'll be able to buy whatever Tooj is working on next.

Best of luck to you Paul!

I hope he stops by once in a while. Expertise like his will be sorely missed.

Saw this on the Becker forum. Good luck to ya Tooj, I wish ya well. You'll be missed around here sir.

Good luck Tooj and thanks for your exemplary work on these great blades!

Bonne Chance Tooj!

You know we love you and you will be sorely missed.

All my favorite Kabar knives are Tsujimoto designs and the reason that I am a fan of Kabar knives in general. Don't know what to look forward to now lol.

If you read this thread;
You should know that I'm never letting my 1247 Warthog out of my possession. It is still my favorite knife.

Out of all the knives I own, that one is my knife, there are many like it but this one is mine..

I make that known to everyone Who sees it, it will never be pried from my grip unless it goes to posterity.

Peace be with you, Tooj.

Toooj: You will be missed. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting & talking to you, as did my daughter. You ROCK !!! Good luck in your new endeavors. :D

I met Paul at the Case factory swap meet a couple of years ago, what a nice guy!! He didn't believe some of my rare antique fixed blades were original but we later swapped some early KA-BAR literature and he now knows they are. Paul, you've got my e-mail, please keep in touch!! See you at Case this next summer??
All the best, Gene
