Below is a letter from KA-BAR President John Stitt.

It is with regret and excitement that I announce that Paul Tsujimoto is leaving the KA-BAR family. Paul has a great opportunity in a bigger position to share his knowledge and expertise. Paul came to work at Cutco Corp. in June 1997 and at KA-BAR in January 2007. Please join me in congratulating Paul for his past efforts and well wishes for his future endeavors. Good luck buddy… You will be missed.

Toooj, you will be missed. It has been an honor and a privilege working with you.

Noooo! Well, I wish him the best. Is he at least allowing the continued use of his fantastic heat treatment methods?

Wow. Good luck Tooj. Hope everything works out well for you.

Good luck Tooj, thanks for everything! Can't wait to see where you land and what comes out of it.

All the best to you sir, thanks for your contribution to something that has made so many lives better!

I wish him well.
Tooj did a great job of communicating with customers on the forums. I hope whoever replaces him can do the same.

Tooj, you've been a pleasure to interact with. I wish you the best in whatever endeavors you find yourself in down the road.

Good luck :).

As much as I know that Ka Bar will still be the company they have been, I feel like Tooj leaving will diminish them some. I hope its for the best for both Tooj and Ka Bar though. I am excited to see where hes going, and what hes going to do there.

I feel the same way....wish him best of luck and can't wait to see what projects he gets behind next.

Thank you Toooj for everything you have done for this community and everyone that uses a KA-BAR. Best of luck to you.

Oh no, TOOOOOJ! Good luck with the new gig!

Hey Paul.......

As I hope you know, you are one of the worlds really good people........ I am sad that we will no longer be working together and excited for your future....... I know KA-BAR will feel your loss as an engineer and as a touch stone....... I have always felt you were one of the truly special among us.........We should talk....

All My Best.......

Ethan

This is not to Tooj but about Tooj......

I want to thank what ever lucky stars caused my path to intersect with his........ On the personal side I have always enjoyed Paul's unique perspectives on life and as A fellow knife designer I have considerable admiration for his designs....... Working with him has been a unalloyed pleasure........ One of Paul's better sides is his ability to design useful sheaths and this is a damn sight harder than people generally think and which I have always been very poor at......

When I worked with Paul on new designs or improving old ones I was always grateful for his tactful suggestions for improvement and his ability to suggest and work around the concerns of the production side of KA-Bar.........

I always found The Tooj to be as obsessed with quality as any designer could possibly ask for and for that I will always be grateful..... That obsession is about fit and finish for sure but, most importantly that obsession showed in the soul of any knife - the steel it is constructed from and the heat treatment it receives........ Under Paul's watch at KA-Bar Becker blades have been cared for better than than at any time in their history and that includes the time I was making them myself.....

We (me and my blades) are gonna miss the hell out of Mr. Tooj.........

Ethan
