With Christoff not making knives, the idea of hacking away at one of his is distressing but I have been trying to get the Seax I want made for over a year with no luck. I wish I had gotten with him before he stopped.
Then I got the chance to buy this Leukuchete. The handle and size are PERFECT for what I had in mind. I am VERY slowly reshaping the blade to be what I want. Almost there now.
Using a belt grinder designed for sharpening edges to it is very slow speed. I keep a can of ice water nearby and cool after each swipe- probably overkill but I have to protect that temper.
