Has HI ever made a Leuku? And if so does any one have pictures and specs?I'm interested in one that's about 12" long and about 3/8" thick a traditional Sami style knive for use for bushcraft when I don't feel like carring my 15.5" villager kukri

I'm not very familiar with this style knife, but a quick Google search makes me think a Kumar Karda will fit the bill perfectly. I have one at home that I use in the kitchen. It's a hair under 10", with a nice thick spine, at least 1/4" or more. I'll get some pics later

Sho nuff. I wouldn't know, don't have one YET but very similar in photo's I've seen of other lucky folks that have them.

Does anyone have a list of wanted HI knives that actually gets shorter over time or is this just a malady I can call all my own?

Somebody say something, is there anyone alive out there? Not a post since 11 this morning.

BORING!!!!!

Leuku?! Gads. Am I ignorant or what? I initially thought the thread was about some dreaded disease or sumthin' and was steerin' clear. Guess I was thinkin' Leukemia or sumthin' of that nature and gettin' ready to send massive quantities of smoke and prayers someone's way.

Leukus are so expensive compared to puukos. I wish mora made a $20 Leuku . They do sell a Leuku but it doesn't look much like a real one.

I found a place that sells carbon steel Leuku blades for ~$30. I might buy one and make my own hilt.

The kumar Karda is soooo close to a real Leuku that it's almost not worth the effort. The only difference I can see is that a Leuku has a thinner blade and a Scandinavian grind.
