Does anyone know where I could find a Pocket Hobbit with the older lever release?

Thanks,

Mike

I've got one. I'm not selling it, for sentimental reasons, but why would you want one? It's really pretty awkward and I was thinking of getting a newer version too. What's wrong with the new lock release?

I've got one, but it's also got, black ti coated blade, 1/3 serrated and a pocket clip, so it cost me more at the time. I have never used it to cut anything. Would sell or trade it for something.

There's nothing wrong with the any of the designs. To me awkward can equate to good human factors design when you want to prevent something from being done without positive intent. The last thing you want a knife to do is fail. One failure mode is to have the knife fold up when you don't want it to. Therefore, having a closing method that more positively prevents the user from accidentally closing the knife is a good thing.

Thanks,

Mike

I agree with HSO on this one. I may be in the minority, but I prefer the lever on the rolling lock.
