Lewes, Rehoboth, Dewey, Bethany, Fenwick and the Delaware state seashore

I'm going to OC MD the end of July for a week, and wanted to take some trips up to the Delaware coast. I've driven through the Shore Points dozens of times, stopped at the outlets in Rehoboth, but never really visited the towns. I'm taking a day to visit them on my vacation. Lewes looks like it hasn't been corrupted by the sprawl that is Rehoboth or OC, and I'd like to look at rental properties for next summer. Bethany was alright in the offseason, but it looks like a madhouse during the summer. Dewey is all drunk college kids, maybe I would've had fun ten years ago, but not in my late 30's. Fenwick is a little too close to OC. Not looking forward to walking Coastal Highway at the state park, or walking any sand dunes with my bad knees (I can do sand/stone walkways though).

The slower pace of the Eastern Shore is still evident in parts of the Delaware shore, usually further up the Delaware Bay or down in Virginia, like Chincoteague. I guess I'm just looking for the feel of an old seaside working town.

Anything that you can think of.
