Our local library bindery has given me 33 big cutter blades. They are softer steel with a thinner section of high speed steel fused on for the edge. The only thing I can think of to use them for is hatchets. Just cut a section off and attach a handle. They are about 1/2 " thick 3" wide and about 2 ft.long. they have some holes drilled in them and are flat on one side nice long bevel on the other side. Any other uses or ideas would be appreciated. Sounds like they'd make a mean guillotine!

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!

Hey Bruce
Sound like perfect blades for your riding mower- may take a few minutes for the RPMs to build up, but then the trees had better watch it!

Michael. I like the gillotine idea. I could sure get the attention at the Blade Show.
As for lawn mower blades, I dont want one of them coming loose at 3500 rpm. Bruce B
