I had a new monthly notice from QPBC today and after I canceled the month's selection I decided to spend the majority of the bonus points I have had for a very, very, long time so I ordered this book after listening to the ten minute audio link and reading the very mixed reviews. ;)

I have often wondered what the author had to say as I've seen this book in the marketplace for a long, long, time and finally I'll get too find out, that is if I can actually get into a longish book without going to sleep.:foot: :o ;) The reviews and audio link really piqued my interest so we'll see what kind of experience I have with the book after I get it.
Perchance has anyone here ever read this book and if so what did you think about it.:D

Huh, favorite topic of discussion among my posse of hiply disenfranchised youth; how have I never heard of it? Definitely look forward to hearing your opinion of it.

my mother, a high school teacher, bought this book for me while i was in high school. she said i should read it, that it was good, but it might piss me off. she was right. this was back in '88. i still have my copy. i highly recommend it.

Sadly, no. I'm a pretty big geek. With the little time I have left over, I often read very technical/mathematical/physics-y stuff.

But I'd be interested to hear what it had to say!

I've read it. I'm an american history major, and I found it to be thoroughly interesting and readable, if a bit excessive in language at times. I'd recommend it as a read.

It contains iconoclastic tidbits like "Professional Wrestling is real" and "Anna Nicole Smith married the old billionaire for his looks". :D
