As some of you know I was involved in a near fatal car accident in April (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/946439-Bad-Car-Crash-Lucky-to-be-alive). A few months ago one of my friends asked me if I'd realized anything important or made any strong resolutions (other than not flying off mountains in a car...) since the crash. I kind of laughed it off and said no.

Just now, while looking at dericdesmond's pictures from Blade of the Hawkeye dagger, I realized that if I had died and never been to Blade, I would have been most disappointed in the afterlife. I don't make much money, just my 70% disability from the VA, and most of my pre-military money is invested in knives, so today I'm going to commit to selling off my knife collection (non-Busse ;) ) to fund a trip to next year's Blade. I figure if I start now I will have plenty of time to get what I should out of them and not need to make any hasty sales because I need the money right away.

Cheers to next years Blade!

Good luck! The only knives I own anymore have been gifted to me. So no selling for me. Going to Blade is a great goal, however you gotta get there. I hope to make it one day as well.

Good to have you back in one piece. I look forward to seeing you at Blade next year. You will love it........

Best wishes and regards from the deep south.........

It will be awesome to see you there.

Wise decision. You gotta go to believe it. The talk on these boards do it no justice. Blade rules.
