As some of you know I was involved in a near fatal car accident in April (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/946439-Bad-Car-Crash-Lucky-to-be-alive). A few months ago one of my friends asked me if I'd realized anything important or made any strong resolutions (other than not flying off mountains in a car...) since the crash. I kind of laughed it off and said no.
Just now, while looking at dericdesmond's pictures from Blade of the Hawkeye dagger, I realized that if I had died and never been to Blade, I would have been most disappointed in the afterlife. I don't make much money, just my 70% disability from the VA, and most of my pre-military money is invested in knives, so today I'm going to commit to selling off my knife collection (non-Busse
) to fund a trip to next year's Blade. I figure if I start now I will have plenty of time to get what I should out of them and not need to make any hasty sales because I need the money right away.
Cheers to next years Blade!
