I just got my computer up and running after a few problems that kept me off line. I moved into a different house, in time for Charlie.

My old house in Orlando was fine. The new house had a huge tree fall over, hit the house, poked a hole in the gable roof, tore up shingles, broke a window out, and the roots took out my water line. Of course no electric. The girls were speechless when the tree was blocking the front door.

The neighbors were very nice and came over in the storm to see if we were all right. In the day light the neighbor helped me re route a temporary feed to the house. I had to remove the tree, remove the stump and pick up debris.

I almost got the new trench dug and now Francis is on my back. My daughter is in Tampa, college, and is out with friends. I wish she would come home.

I was here for Andrew, and was forced to evacuate from the beach. Somehow we ended up house sitting in Hialeah, and it worked out pretty well.

Another friend had offered to have us to join him in Kendall. Sometime around 4:00AM his front doors blew open, his large projection TV set was blown out of his sunken living room, through the french doors at the back of the house, and into his swimming pool. Which was just as well since at about the same time his roof was blown off and his second floor collapsed onto his first floor. He, the wife, and two kids spent the rest of the night sitting in their car, in their garage, calling relatives to say their goodbyes.

Yup, at times like this I miss NYC. Nothing to worry about there except for muggings, terrorists, and the occassional snowfall.
