Hey yall. I have been feelin lousy of late, about 3 weeks now.
I went to the Doc in a Box on Wednesday, and was told I have bronchitis.
No biggie, really, some antibiotics and an inhaler, and that's taken care of.
In the course of discussion with the P.A., I told her that I have been feeling some tightness and pain under my left pectoral area as well.
She ran an EKG, and "some changes" were found. I had some lab work drawn on Friday, and am scheduled for a non-nuclear stress test this coming Thursday. I am not certain what the changes were, or what they mean as of yet. I suspect more will be revealed after Thursday.
While I have never been a serious athletic type, I have never really had to stop and think about serious medical limitations before, beyond a somewhat dodgey knee. In the past I have been an avid skiier, backpacker, swimmer, bowler, and off-road motorcyclist. I still ride a Harley regularly.
I am far from done on this planet, and don't plan on giving up anymore of this life than I have no choice in.
I am 50, for the first time in my life, I am in a truly wonderful, mutually giving and caring relationship. My son is 8, and I plan on being here for him into adulthood.
Tuesday was my 22nd sobriety anniversary, so not all is a mess around here.
I keep putting one foot forward, one day at a time.
I guess all this is sayin', if ya have a little spare smoke, or what ever you believe in, it would be appreciated.

Smoke for Daddydett and all the other forumites who are facing challenges today. Hopefully you'll be able to look back on this in 6 months as just a bump in the road.

God Bless!! Hope the doctors can figure things out and get you back to felling good.

You got it DD!! Keep us posted bro.

Daddy Dett, you got it- and congrats on that anniversary. I hope to be there someday.

Sending smoke.

Don't worry too much, though. Medical technology is great, in that we can detect stuff and fix it before it becomes a problem. The down side is that sometimes they detect stuff that would never be an issue if you didn't know about it. Here's hoping for a good report.

smoke sent from newly made rosemary bundles, on a cool wind with some very fine sunshine,
