Life's Too Short

Being Friday afternoon and many of us are heading home for the weekend, I thought I'd share a story with you. A friend of mine sent me this photograph of a horrible accident on the autobahn. As you probably know, whether you have traveled to Germany or not, the autobahn is an expressway with virtually no speed limits.

While not as gory as some you see via the Internet, the attached is somewhat hard to take since, if you look closely, you can see some survivors still tangled in the wreckage. Thus, despite its somewhat graphic element, it is offered more for the purpose of making one realize how quickly loved ones can be taken from us.

As a result, I ask that you take this weekend and spend some time with those you love, and let this be a chilling reminder to all that life is just too short.  :(

Terrible Accident

Like the new smiley's by the way. ;)

It is survivors like those that I dedicate my life to see their purpose in life fulfilled.

Perhaps Germany needs to require the trucking industry to start using passive restraint systems. Many lives could have been saved. It doesn't even look like they were strapped into their seats.

If they need help cleaning that up...I have training in that sort of thing.

Truly horrible. :barf:

There isn't alot that I care about outside guns, knives and cigars, but this really tugs at my heart strings.

Where can I adopt the survivors? Is there a limit to how many I can adopt? I really want to help.

This calls for another run of NIP's to comemmorate this tragedy.

Do they make ribbon magnets for this too? Or beer coozies?

I'll say a prayer for the deceased, and the survivors who will never live up to their full potential.:(

Such a tragedy.

wait a minute, is that Grolsch, if so it's Dutch not German, and while still a tragic loss, no where near as bad as it might have been. There may yet be cause for hope.
