Does the lifesharp service cover the serrated edge knives? I thought that it didn't but now I was looking on the site and it doesn't say. If they don't cover it why not?

I believe that the complimentary sharpening covers any Spyderco knife.

I recently sent my Native 35/65 combo edge back to Spyderco for some regrinding on the serrated portion of the blade and, once this work was completed, my Native received a complimentary sharpening at no additional cost. :) On top of the excellent customer service, I received my Spydie back, as good as new, in less than two weeks!!

Thats what I was looking for, thanks. I only asked because I remember reading in one of my owners manuals that serrations are not covered. I guess I was thinking of BM.

Yes, "Life Sharp" is the name of BM's resharpening service yet they do not sharpen serrations  So much for that service  I never quite understood that: just as Cold Steel won't sharpen their blasphemous serrations.

Spyderco sharpens every part of the blade that came sharp from the factory: the plain edge, the serrated, the 50/50, the light-saber.... OH NO... I've said too much! Ignore the mention of the Light-Saber model: that's a hush-hush design coming in the next couple of years :p

I wonder why benchmade won't do serrations. I think that's kinda cheap on their part. The benchmade serrations can't compare to the spydie's anyway, they don't have very large teeth. The way I look at it is that it would be alot easyer them to sharpen the serrations than me. For the price I paid for all the BM's I own they ought to cover ALL of the blade in the lifesharp. Plus on the knives with combo blades they are gonna send your knife back half sharp, What gives?
