hey guys im looking for a good small EDC blade that is super light weight and under 30$ dosnt have to have a pocket clip but im thinking under 3.0 onces. what do you have for me?

I'd reccomend a Gerber Paraframe. Under $20, 2.8 ounces, and solid construction. The pocket clip is removable, and you can get various edge styles. The kind I have is a combo edge, plain tipped and serrated halfway down. I prefer the versitility, but there are plenty of options. It also comes in a mini version. Though some people on amazon are complining about the construction, mine has yet to fail me. It is my backup EDU, after my Leatherman Wave. One thing I will add is you might want to loosen the pocket clip a touch, mine came so tight that it tore up my jeans slightly before I did something about it.

Here's the one I have on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Gerber-22-48445-Paraframe-Ti-Grey-Serrated/dp/B000G0JI34/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331169033&sr=8-1

Hope it helps

Most SAKs are under 3 oz (Climber, Huntsman, Farmer), and within your budget.

The Spyderco Delica, although a bit more expensive, is an amazing knife at just a tad over 2 oz!

@Defaultuser: I find the blades on most of the smallers SAKS to be rather flimsy and not hold their edge that well. Do you ever come across that issue?
The Delica is an amazing knife, especially if you get one with the Emerson opening, as it's always ready when you need it

"Flimsy" is not my experience, but I sure used knives that kept their edge longer :)

Do you refer to the really small SAKs like the Classic (58mm)? then yes, I'd agree with your flimsy comment.
Have you tried a Pioneer with alox scales? The main blade is a bit thicker and the knife feels really solid in hand.

A.G. Russell Featherlite One Hand Knife would pretty much fit the bill. 1.5oz, no pocket clip, AUS8 blade, but it's $5 over your price.

SAK. Victorinox Super Tinker. oh yea. one B-A knife. i was surprised at how easily it tore through a ziptie. that exceeded my expectations. i really didnt think it would go through it, and not bend, break, chip, etc. tried and trusted

Yes, I was mostly referring the the really small ones with "flimsy" though many of the more medium ranged ones I've seen seem to have really thin blades as well

I have the small Victorinox classic. I thought the blade was flimsy, but it actually cuts cardboard quite well.

Check out these Buck models, made in the USA:

Vantage select small: 2.3 oz
Bucklite Max small: 1.6 oz
Bantam BBW: 1.5 oz
303 stockman: 1.9 oz
302 single blade: 1.9 oz
309 pen knife: 1.2 oz

All can be had for under $30. I have the 309 and the Vantage. Both great knives.

i think the delica is a great value for the money. i picked up a hardly used one here for 35 shipped. however within in your budget i would look at a chive. i wear a suit to work and carry a ss chive in my pocket with my keys.

i highly recommend the buck vantage line (small = 2.3oz). you can find the select or avid model in your price range.

Definitely go with the delica if you can afford the few extra bucks. If not, the kershaw skyline is by far your best bet. 3inch blade, g10 scales, flipper opening, and VERY light at just 2.3 ounces.
