Anybody have one? Thoughts? Impressions?

I was meandering the blade gallery and noticed it for the first time. Reminds me of my new EDC...maybe a bigger brother cousin- so I had to like it!

I have an order in for one of these on the board, in fact.


It's a bit bigger, and.. the handle is somewhat different. It's more the scandivex grind, as well.

Overall, that's actually not a whole lot of difference- the overall knife looks slimmer in part because of the extra length and it has a bit less pronounced thumb ramp.

How does this compare with your SERE?

I've been thinking about one like this for a while now but with a straight spine off the thumb ramp, like a puukko, instead of the drop point. Any thoughts?

Forgot to put this in my post: I like the idea of adding a ricasso. It'd be handy for doing detail work.

I often radius a little at the rear of the blade on drop edge knives, but it's often up to the user.

The LBK SERE is a similar overall shape, but... well, different. It's a much bigger knife, though only a half inch or so more blade. Taller, with a more pronounced thumb ramp and spearpoint, too

I'll try and get a side-by-side when I get done with this next one.

Handling is good, the goal is a cutting knife with some decent grip options, and it does that

The straight spined ide I want to look at more. Don't be surprised if one just turns up soon!

This one is a bunch smaller than the one you have earlier in the thread no?

It's a bit smaller, but not much. This one is an order, so I made it to specs. It looks shorter in part because the edge drop and handle butt are larger and it's a thicker steel (only 1/8, but it still has a visual effect)

One like the top one might have to be one of my next knives. But, with my little girl starting daycare last week- who knows when that will be!?
