I was just looking at these Swedish Light My Fire knives online. They look kinda cheap, but still a neat knife. Anybody got/used one?

I don't own one, but a friend does. They are Mora knives (if we are talking about the same one) and like all Mora's they are an excellent knife for the money - IMHO. The fire steel works good, the blade is sound (12C27) and the knife feels good in the hand.

What more can I say? It is a Mora with all the pros and cons that come with that particular brand. Personally, I like the knife and will probably add this model to my existing handful of Moras.

Moras have outstanding ergnonics, sharpen easily, have sensible blade shapes... They're a hard knife to go wrong with.

I recently purchased the Mora/Light My Fire knife for my vehicle GHB (get home bag). After having a Swamp Rat RMD and a $100 dollar Surefire flashlight (among some other items) stolen from my Jeep, I will no longer keep expensive high-end gear in there.

I've known about Mora knives for a long time but for some reason they never really appealed to me. Now I realize why they have such a huge following. I have to say, I am pretty impressed with this knife. Of course, I haven't had time to test this thing out but my initial impressions are very favorable. Wicked sharp edge, the grip feels fantastic, and I like the extra grind they use towards the tip of the blade on this model. Obviously its not full tang so its got its limitations, but I feel better knowing it was made by Swedish knifemakers instead of Chinese laborers. The firesteel in the handle is genius and the whole knife just feels like quality, especially for only $30. It is high-value without being high-dollar...a rare thing nowdays.

Anyway, I think you'll be happy with this neat little knife. Here's just a quick photo I took of it in front of my GHB...

Moras are amazing knives. You really do get a lot for your money. I don't have the model with the fire steel, but it's not a bad idea. Maybe I'll get one of those next time I need a Mora.
