I just ordered a 2002 wood inlaid Sebenza with a preference for a light wood. After reading many posts about Sebenzas, I decided on a small, however, I'm not sure about the wood. I know you can't really request a wood type (only give a preference), but I just wanted some opinions on the nicest looking woods.

I would have to say that it depends on how it hits your eye. Some folks really like the dark woods and others prefer the lighter shades.

All of them are beautiful and whichever one you get will look as good as it possibly can. Chris & crew haven't made a bad one yet.

I've been thinking of buying a wood inlay and have observed that the light colored wood looks like dried mucus. The dark wood looks much better; it's the one for me.

I have to disagree with that dried mucus comment. I saw some great looking light wood inlays and that is the way I ordered my large.
It is totally up to you, they both look great.

Keith.

Hehehe...dried mucus? *YUK*

I prefer light woods like curly maple burl, etc.
