i will be driving with my lights on as a memorial to our fallen countrymen on sept 11, i would ask all of you to do the same as a tribute to those folks.

That is very thoughtful gesture, is it your idea or part of larger movement/ effort?

I was considering doing the same, and maybe pausing at the moment of attack to light a candle. My own idea, but I wouldn't mind if it became a movement.

Driving with your lights on for the day of Sept 11th is an idea that was part of a nationwide movement. I have received a few emails about this, some from my unit, including one email that says it was the idea of Michael Bloomberg (NYC's current mayor).

It's a good way to remember those who died.

Pass the word to your friend, email acquiantances, and post it all over.

I past 24 hours I have received 2 emails from friend and cousin saying the same thing- my truck will have "lights up" Sept 11, and USA flag-

Count me in.

Headlights, fog lights, and the Stars and Stripes flyin' PROUD!!! I don't plan on this being a "holiday", as some have suggested, but rather a day of remembrance for those innocent souls that were lost.

BTW, alco141, I would suggest posting this over at the Community Center, as well, in order to get more BladeForums members involved. ;)
