I need some help looking for a light weight clipless folder that i can carry loose in my pocket and not worry about it getting scratched up.

Blade needs to be 2.5" to 3"
Should have good steel
Less than $100
Locking

I'm thinking of getting the Fallkniven TK4, is there anything similar out there?

Thanks
Kam

case sodbuster junior, quite possibly the ultimate knife. and of course the ever popular sak. alox scaled. later, ahgar

I want something that won't get scratched up or scratch other things in my pocket

I think i might just go with the Native

The Native without the clip is 2.3 oz. A Caly Jr without the clip is 1.7 oz, even better than an Opinel 9 at 2.1 oz.

How about an A G Russell Featherlite folder. It is ideal to put in the pocket, has a good lock, you can open it one handed, and is very light weight. THANK YOU! Kevin

How about the Al Mar Ultralights?

The Hawk has a 2.75" blade, Falcon has 3"; blade steel is AUS-8, not the greatest but far from the worst; linerless but with thick micarta scales, plenty sturdy, and about as close to weightless as you can get in a functional knife. Comes with a clip, but it's easily fixed by removing one screw, with no ugly recesses or bumps left behind, just a lanyard hole.

The Eagle (4") Talon Ultralight is one of my favorite summer knives, doesn't even weigh down the lightest shorts.

Victorinox Nylon Solo. Runs under 10$, very light and the scales don't ding easily. It's a beefier version of the standard SAK blade, which is a proven cutter.

U2 too small - How 'bout the new plastic handled Tre-Kroner?

Been looking at that myself. A bit more blade and handle.

The Japanese made KaBar Dozier liner lock folder with D2 steel is a real winner. The black anodized clipless aluminum scales makes for a lightweight in the pocket. These are discontinued. Better look for them soon if you want one.
