Hey all !

I recently picked up my first carbon fiber knife, the boker titan drop decade edition with vg-10. Before this
knife I wasent very picky about weight, but this knife has made me interested in other lightweights (anything under 4.5 ounces would be fantastic !) What would you guys/gals recommend as a lightweight EDC that wont break the bank ? ( preferably under $125 ) and uses a good steel preferably vg-10, ( I would prefer VG-10 and other high end steels, but steel isnt a deal breaker) I know the endura and delica will be up there but I'm just not able to find any other good ones.

any and all replies are highly appreciated !

Have a great Easter !

Cheers, Niko.

Spyderco Air is a great lightweight knife. It uses M4 which is an excellent steel. Not stainless though.

If you want something bigger you could get the Spyderco Manix 2 Lightweight in Dusk Blue. It has S110V.

blades&wrenches beat me to it on the Manix lol

When I want a good blade that weights next to nothing, I take my skyline. Of course you could buy three at the price bracket you're in, so you might be looking for something else.

Out of everything I have that skyline has the best size:weight ratio. American made to boot, love it.

Yep, manix 2 lw s110v. So is that +3, 4, or 7 by now? Just get one, you won't be disappointed.

Okay, I have had the Manix 2 LW in S110V, but prefer, instead, ..the three-ounce ZT 0770 in Elmax.
They're both good, IMO.

A few suggestions:

ZT 0770
Benchmade 707
Boker Urban Trapper
Brous Bionic

Al Mar Ultra Light series. Don't let the AUS8 scare you off, Al Mar does a great job with it. Excellent fit and finish.

Benchmade 530 or 531. 154cm is good enough for EDC use. I carry my 530 whenever I wear a suit.

A.G. RUSSELL featherlite in VG10. In fact for your price range you can get two. So get one of each blade style.

It's a cheap little knife but incredibly useful. Probably my favorite production knife.

Take a look at the Spyderco Stretch in ZDP or the current sprint run in Super Blue, both about 3.4 oz.. Either would be a "keeper".

I consider 4.5oz to be average or heavier than average.
The Manix 2 LW is certainly a good choice. You might try a Para2.

The 531 is 2.1 ounces and has 154cm.
