Here is my latest, my last stock removal project for the year. Made from a antique sawmill blade 4 1/2" blade 9 1/4 OAL edge quenched and vinegar etch exposing the temper line. Stained curly maple handle with a linseed oil finish, silver wire inlay and some stippling on the handle edges.
My first try at relief carving.

This handle really feels good in the hand.

An exquisite knife....the carving and inlay of the handle is exceptional my friend.

I love it! The basic premise is great with the inlay, but the carving sets it over the top!

Nice work Steve. The top & bottom inserts are a great touch.
If I may...

Thanks Dave, I could not get the photos to resize for the life of me!

The Black stained areas are the Maple I just textured it with a tiny ball cutter.
