Hey all,
Just wondering what lighters you carry around and love.
Post what it is, why you like it, why you use it (BOB, smoking...), if it's worth getting, and also pictures are welcome.

For me, I love my Vector Hybrid in matte black.

What about you?

I carry simple Bic lighters. For two reasons 1 they work 2 they are cheap. I use them for smoking (bad habit hate that I started) and I always carry a spare with me just in case.

I've had a Numyth Tohill refillable lighter in an emergency gear pouch for the past few months. I don't smoke so the lack of ergonomics don't phase me. What I like is that I can refill it, replace the wick and flints and that it will hold fuel for longer stretches of time. I like how a Zippo feels and works, but the fluid evaporates too quickly to be a survival piece of gear.

Mini Bics are great for camping and backpacking that I do but I feel karma creeping up to kick my ass for throwing so many away over the years.

I have 4 Zippo's, that I rotate between.and a couple more on the way. I like that they are U.S made, and have been a part of Americana for many years.
Ya, the fluid will evaporate, but I smoke, so I use mine a lot. The fluid in mine gets used up before it gets a chance to evaporate. Once in a great while I have to change the wick, but that is no big deal. Most can be had very reasonably priced, and there are endless choices.

I quit smoking a long time ago, but still carry a zippo.

Since I quit cigarettes and started smoking a pipe, my EDC lighter has been an IMCO G77R. I keep a small bottle of butane and a pack of flints with me and I'm good to go.

Before this lighter I had (and still have) a large stable of Zippo and older Zippo knock offs. A few years back I went through a stage of lighter acquistion disease.

IMCO Junior for me. Don't smoke, just carry it for utility. It's a shame they went under, great lighters at a good price. They hold fluid a tad longer than a Zippo IMHO.

I grew up around Zippos because my dad smoked and it was what he carried. I don't smoke, so I just carry a lighter because I'm an eagle scout and I'd hate to find myself in a situation where I wish I had one and didn't. That said, standard zippos just aren't good for that purpose because they dry up. I picked up a zippo blu butane torch a couple of years ago and love it. It's flint/steel just like a regular zippo, same great build quality, and it's there and ready any time I need it. No leaking fuel and no battery to die or short out in water like on a typical butane lighter.

The Ronson I got for free removed the childproof spring now it works great. The Scorch I bought a few weeks ago also works great I really like the easy flame adjust on the bottom. The key I think with butane lighters is the fuel you use all I will put in mine is Vector quintuple not cheap but worth it.
