I think the most important factor for carrying a knife in your pocket is Weight then Thickness or should i say thinness. It depends on how you carry I carry in my pocket and along with some other things, so the weight is an issue. I recently purchased an Al Mar Falcon and This thing is incredible!!!! It has a blade of a little over 3 inch blade and a weight of an amazing 1.25oz. And it's very thin low profile design, I forget it's there! Very Very Nice!

Anyway, I started to look at a few other options for rotation and also came across the Benchmade 530 which is also under 2oz and a blade of 3.25 another great design. I also saw the Benchmade Oppertunist but that's a gold class and quite expensive. So now, I have become obsessed with finding more Light, Thin, EDC knives around the 3in to 4in blade length.

Anyone have any other Ideas?? I am open to any brand that fits the criteria of Weight under 2.5oz, Blade of around 3in to 4in. Thanks in advance.

I love my Benchmade 530. 3" blade and 1.8 oz.

See also the A.G. Russel Featherlite with a 3 and 1/8th" blade at only 1.5 oz.

Hope that helps. :)

Welcome to the boards! I imagine that you'll get a flood of opinions very soon, so you should probably define a couple more parameters for the knives you are seeking. Namely, price and intended use. You can go over $1,000 for a William Henry type of knife that fits your size and weight requirements, or dip down to the sub $50 category with various Spyderco's, Kershaws, Case's, etc.

Try to narrow your search a little an you'll get much more beneficial replies. I personally have (and am carrying right now) a Benchmade 440 with a jigged aluminum handle that costs about $100. There are many great selections out there in this range so good luck!

What Dallas STB said.

There are a lot of inexpensive plastic handled knives from Benchmade and Spyderco that are very light.

If you desire a more quality knife that is still light, I might suggest the Buck/Mayo TNT series.
The TNT CF, (carbon fiber) has a 3.2 inch blade and weighs 2.2 oz.
It is very thin as well. Pricey though, around $300

You (usually) get what you pay for.

The Benchmade 940 is nicely light and thin. It's a great carry knife.

You beat me to it... was bout to recommend the 940 as well. In fact
it's in my pocket right now. I believe it's 3oz or a little under with a
3.25" blade. Very solid and with the axis lock.

Delica as mentioned before is a great choice too.

Also look into the Kershaw Leek.

I've been wanting an Al Mar Eagle for some time now. Pricey, but I've
heard nothing but good things bout Al Mar.

The BM 350/530 are very light for their size, however, check out the Spyderco's Salt versions of the Delica & Endura (Salt I & Pacific Salt). I believe they are 2.0 & 3.0 oz., which is pretty light for their size, too.

The BM 350 is a great pocketknife. I would also reccomend the Spyderco Military as it is also very light for what you get.

+1 on the Salt 1 and Pacific Salt. These are basically Delicas and Enduras from the previous generation and they have a solid FRN handle without metal liners, so they are lighter than the current Delica/Endura. Besides that, they will never rust, a nice feature on an EDC knife.

Benchmade 940, 2.9 oz with 3.4 inch blade or Benchmade 930, 3 oz with 3.6 inch blade. Nice slim folders.
