My health is recovering just in time to get a few things done for the knife show in Melbourne this weekend ... Completed this one yesterday - my favourite working bowie size. I have done more brilliantly blued fittings, but I wanted to keep the colours subdued on this one. Stippled around the pins to make them "pop up." The blade looks almost curved down from some angles, but is actually straight. Behaves like a big wharncliffe and a friend has commented it looks like a "seax" - I'm not familiar with that type of knife. Balances 1inch in front of the guard. As the name suggests - it is NOT a heavy chopping bowie - it is supposed to have heft, but floats in the hand. Thanks for looking. Jason.

That knife sucks! But, only because I won't be the owner. :)

Seriously, this is yet another example of your typically excellent work. Keep them coming!

Well I'm just loving everything I see on your bigger blades Jason. I really like the stippled treatment of the handle as well as the execution of the ferrule, guard and collar-whatchamacallit. Beautiful knife.
