Lighting on the cheap

Lately, mostly due to my having a rugrat to buy things for, I haven't been able to spend much on gear. It's actually been quite an educational experience because I'm looking more closely at companies that typically carry cheaper products I wouldn't really have paid any attention to before.
Today, my Pelican 2360 flashlight arrived and I have to say that it was worth every penny and then some. It has a 95 lumen output, runs on 2 AA and has a burn time of 2 hours which I think is pretty darn good considering the low cost of AAs. The spot/flood is not adjustable you really don't need it to be, IMHO. It's guaranteed waterproof up to 3 feet for 30 minutes which is great for my needs. I've dropped my Maglight in the stream more than once while filling my GSI cup at night and it's nice to finally have a flashlight that's waterproof. It's very compact at a little over 6 inches and weighs less than 5 ounces with batteries. It sports an octagonal bezel and tail piece with a reversible pocket clip. You can find them online for as low as $23 which is a deal. I honestly can't say anything bad about this flashlight other than the fact that it doesn't come in international safety orange.:D

I tried taking a few pictures of mine but nothing came out very good with the web cam. This is the best I could do:

I've had a few nice Pelicans. I like the brand: it's been very reliable for me. I keep a Pelican MityLite 1900 Submersible handy. Pen-size, 2 x AAA, integral pocket clip.

I just took it out and freaking blinded myself with it, playing around. :(

i have a couple pelican lights and a case, great stuff. the lights arent as bright as some of my other lights but very acceptable.
