Hi all,

Just wanted to give the forum a heads up that if you are looking for a user Fiddleback Hunter
I have one up in the exchange.

I've used this one to make a couple of fuzz sticks as well as once for food prep and as nice as it
is I have come to realize that I just wouldn't go to it very often so I am letting it go.

Just for more information this is one of the Hunters that was made from the thinner stock 01 that
Andy sometimes uses which combined with the nice thin grind makes this a great slicer.

If you are looking for a good bargain on a Hunter check it out:

Thanks.

It's immediately following Christmas and going into tax season so it's a tough time for selling things. I've been trying to sell a few to just in case Andy puts out one I can't resist...I know that's coming at some point because I have a serious itch for one of a specific size and style and he has done them before. Your Hunter has a full height grind, and you say it is thinner stock. Is that full height grind on 1/8? If so man what a slicer that must be! And that's also rare. I wouldn't drop the price any lower unless something really important depends on the sale, in which case I understand and have been there before too. I had to sell off a knife that was a piece of SOG (the military unit not the knife company) history after my accident when my ex wife wouldn't get off her but and find a job to help with bills. I didn't want to sell it at all but I had a young daughter to look out for and that was my priority. Sometimes I look back at a lot of things and wonder if I shouldn't have just shot her while I was so medicated, instead of divorcing her and having to sell off everything to fight a custody battle...but I won the battle, that daughter is now grown, and everything else about it is just so much water under the bridge. I do miss that knife though :)

No, nothing so pressing right now. This is as low as I will go with it. It is 1/8" stock as per my request but not full height (though it is very close with just a hair of spalting along the spine). It's nice and thin behind the edge so a wicked slicer indeed. Sorry to hear of your tough situation with your ex and especially sorry it cost you a beloved piece of steel. I guess situations like that put it all in perspective though.

Well, at least I got to see it and learn for a fact that those knives actually existed. I sold it to a person who was formerly a member of SOG so it could have been worse. I wish I had the money for this one man. It would make an awesome present for my brother. He's always saying how all my knives are too thick for his tastes. This one would be right up his alley.

I feel your pain regarding sales. I too have had a Hunter for sale in the exchange that surprisingly hasn't sold. I'm selling at a loss as well. That's a sweet Hunter in 1/8" and a steal at your price.
