Have any of you folks heard of the new carbon fiber Boeing is using in the 787?

It's referred as Lightning Strike

Well, it's not just for airplanes:D

It's been used lately by some big time custom knife makers like David Broadwell and Steven Kelly.

The stuff is fairly hard to come by, but I was fortunate to locate some.

This c/f is very difficult to photograph, but let me assure you that the human eye offers the best view of this stunning material.

I thought I do a couple teasers pics.

I'll get some more out when the sun comes out again (we are getting hammered today with 10" of snow!!)

Carbon fiber isn't my favorite material out there, though this is very cool. Has a more distinctive look.

I've seen that and am thinking about using it for a couple of Damascus Mules. Pricey stuff, though.

That takes CF to another level, Barry! Nice score, for certain.

Let's see it mounted on a CRK. . . .
