You don't get any lighter than a Valox 422 BuckLite...
But no, I have not seen a 112 with an aluminum frame. I would not be surprised if Copper & Clad introduced one some day.
The 422 is about as light as they get. The paperstone 112 they did a few years back is a close second though. Brass > paper Micarta > Valox. I don't know where an aluminum frame would fall in that mix. You can't go wrong with any of them though, and they're all pretty easy to find still.
Hatch, Buck has produced many light weight 112 models. Just search as they are easy to discover. I think the paperstone handled model with
drop point s30v blade (bare headed) were produced 5 years ago. The Bucklites came out in 1985. Recently the Copper & Clad versions. So, there are many to look into. DM
Oh, I will stick with the heavyweight.
I see the weight as proof that it has the strength to handle the most demanding task and never break.
I like that.
