Folks,

I'm looking for a small folder for my wife, who has perite hands. I've searched far and wide, and I still can't find very many 3" blade (or thereabouts) that can break the 3 Oz weight. Other than a small sebbie or Strider PT, does anyone else have any suggestions?

That being said, I am in the market for a small Strider PT CC for myself:)

Thank you, folks.

Kershaw Skyline. 3 1/8" blade, 2.3 oz, linerlock, flipper opening, non-assisted, and the grip is slim.

Bradley Alias II? IIRC it's around 2.9oz and significantly less expensive than a Sebbie.

There are tons of Spydercos that meet your specs. I just snagged a Caly 3, 3" blade and 3 oz. But it is a sprint run. I'll add a picture. It feels heavy due to the SS bolster, but it is a tank of a knife. CF scales. And still available. I got mine at Knifeworks for $200.

The Kershaw Leek of course. It's a nice little frame lock assisted blade. Everyone should have one or two.

I also have a Kershaw Chill. Shamefully inexpensive (less than $20), 3.125" flipper that really pops out when it breaks in.

Thank you for saving me from despair! To open up the field, any offering from custom makers?

In addition to spydies, I agree with below. Search in Amazon on the Leek. There is a rainbow Leek I've been thinking of getting, it was highlighted in a recent Blade magazine as a collectible. Very reasonably priced and very attractive. And the Cryo is another winner.

Spyderco Gayle Bradley Air. Titanium, CPM-M4, silver twill G10, and extremely light, as the name might suggest.

3" liner lock less than 3oz? Leek is the first thing that comes to my mind. Although if she has small hands the scallion might be a better choice. Hell, they both even come in pink if she wants to keep it feminine

If I may, I'd recommend an E-series button-lock folder from William Henry. They're not liner-locks or framelocks, of course, and they're not inexpensive. But you were talking about small Sebenzas and PTs in your OP, so I figure you can afford one. Your wife might prefer the ease of opening and (especially) closing a button-lock knife. They're also light as a feather and EXTREMELY well-made.

Cannot more highly recommend the CRKT Ripple...............Acuto+ steel takes an edge like you wouldn't believe. Strong little knife. IKBS flicks open like lightning. Thin blade is great for slicing, but is strong enough to handle heavier duty tasks.
