Lightweight EDC Knife: Kershaw Echelon

I'm new here, but this is one of the nicest video reviews I've seen. Well done! Now you're making me want this one.
 
The beginning of the video alone was worth applaudes! And an overall excellent presentation & a thoroughly enjoyable review :)

...And a gorgeous knife design and execution by Kershaw!

Please talk a bit more about removing the torsion bar and using the Echelon as a manual.

Is the centering affected? How is the detente?

You don't need any special software for this. The intro is a sequence of roughly 250 single photos. You only need to import those photos into your video editing software.

Man I was so psyched to check out an Echelon at my local Dealer a month or so ago... but the one she had was absolutely pure junk! I mean it was one of the poorest built knives I've ever seen, Mexico/gas station knives included. She did get an original run though... waaaay before I ever saw them available anywhere else. Maybe it was a flunk/recall?
