I think that lots of us can benefit from the info in this info.......but Crap! I hate it when this happens
!!! Went to preview and the thing errased my thread when I went back to edit! Ok, I'm starting over and here's the short version.
Dillema:
1) Heavy steel tubes on normal batons = durability and strength to withstand combat.
2) Heavy expandable batons = too heavy
3) Too heavy = not likely to carry all of the time and not likely to be available if bg hits your fan. Especially if also carrying handgun, blade, light, keys, wallet, etc....
4) Lightweight versions = questionable ability to withstand street combat.
5) Lightweight = more likely to be available and on you wherever you are.
USPs Are probably the most common. But last I checked, they told me that they do not stand behind their aluminum expandables. If they don't trust them, I find no reason to trust them in combat either. If that's the case, it might just be useless extra bulk/weight for many years to come......at best. I can't speak for the Hyatts zytel version since I have not received a response from their company regarding this question. I don't know of the quality, and have not seen one first hand. I am looking for educated oppinions, especially from those who have owned and used theirs.
I hope that this thread helps others as well.
Best regards,
The Equalizer, MARPIO
