I need the lightest one I can find for backpacking. I would like to have pliers, saw, and locking blade if possible.
Anyone have any leads???
Thanks
Bill

people are always on about this... and yes, of course the ounces add up.

"look after the grams and the kilograms will look after themselves" is a very old saying about all things outdoors, and it had a lot of merit, but when it comes to the functionality of this sort of item, a few extra ounces could save your life... the boots you wear will have a much greater impact than you would think, for example, with the difference between wearing boots and wearing cross trainers estimated at being the equivalent of 3kg (about 7lb) in your pack...

maybe taking that better survival tool is worth it after all.

my advice would be a leatherman supertool... i carry mine every day and don't even notice it there any more.
